When Michael Savage first set foot in Dirty Old Town we saw a man of action. Michael and Wife Sally have spent many years working hard to establish The Enchanted Adventure Garden in Victoria’s Mornington Peninsular. All the hard work has paid off and this award-winning Family Park is both a popular tourist destination and a favourite with the locals too. It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in that neck of the woods.

The couple was looking for functional hardworking furniture to give the Park’s Café a bit of a facelift and make it more user-friendly for their patrons. They came to us with a clear vision of what they needed, 100 small stools, along with 12 tables, 8 bench seats and over 40 metres of bench tops. With a limited time frame, our dedication to handmade Furniture, and our ethos of using locally sourced reclaimed Australian timbers, the project involved all members of the Dirty Old Town Family. Our workshop went into over drive – mass production DOT style.

There was a great sense of achievement once all the pieces were complete, quality checked and loaded up for the journey to this gorgeous pocket of Victoria. It was a rewarding project to work on and great to see the photos of the finished fit-out of the Cafe. The Furniture blended so well into the surroundings and functioned just as Michael and Sally had foreseen.
